    „You’ve won a prize!“ – Prize Scams

Your telephone rings. An excited voice tells you : „You’ve won a prize!“ (It may be a trip, a lot of money, or a car.)
A cinema starts in your mind: You’re driving a beautiful sports car. Enyoing de warming sunbeams on a beautiful island. And see your shoppingbags full of new electronic devises, the latest clothes or brand shoes.
You might think „Finally – a dream comes true.“

Think about following aspects, so that your dream don’t turn into a nightmare:

For a prize, you NEVER have to:

    • pay money
    • deposit a check
    • attend a sales meeting to get your prize
    • wire money
    • give out your personal information to unknown callers

If you pay for your „prize“, you will never again see your money or any prize!
If you give out youre personal information, doubtless your data will be sold to advertisers!
If you attend a sales meeting, you will find yourself in a pressure sales pitch.

If an offer appears too good to be true, it usually is!!!

    Technic support scam:

We recently received several comments about scammers who pretend to be a technician of Microsoft or Apple.
They want to “help” to solve a computer problem and, therefore, want to access to your computer.

Please, do not fall for this scam! Just hang up!
